Things to Do in Waikoloa Village

Waikoloa Village is nestled along the west side of the island of Hawai’i. With several thousand residents, this quiet village could be the perfect retreat for you to unwind, relax, and enjoy the quiet beauty of the island.

A visit to Hapuna Beach State Park should be at the top of your list. This chill beach is one of the most popular in the area, but never too crowded. With lifeguards on hand, it’s a great place for swimming, bodysurfing, and picnicking. Hapuna Beach State Park is the largest and most traditional of the beaches on Hawai’i, so be sure not to miss it.

For more nature, check out the Waikoloa Dry Forest Initiative, perfect for exploring. Run by a local non-profit organization, this dry forest is a feat of landscaping, as they’ve managed to cultivate dryland forest out of barren lava. The Waikoloa Dry Forest Initiative also has many activities and learning experiences, so it’s great for all ages.
